Florida maintains a public database of licensed security agencies, investigators and training schools. Search it for “Security Alliance” and compare what you find against the numbers above.
We suggest you do the same for every provider on your shortlist. A license number that cannot be found, or that belongs to a different entity than the one signing your contract, is the cheapest disqualifier available to you.
- Check the license class matches the work. A Security Agency license does not authorise investigations, and an investigation license does not authorise guard services. We hold both.
- Check the entity name matches the contract. The license should be held by the company that will sign, invoice and staff the work.
- Check officer-level licensing. Florida officers hold a Class D license; armed officers additionally hold a Class G.

Yes. Florida security officers hold a Class D license, and armed officers additionally hold a Class G firearms license. Officers are licensed for the post they work before they work it, not after.
